Preparing the Leaders of Tomorrow
Minaret Academy has been paving the way for innovation, ingenuity, and imagination for the past 17 years. Our classes reflect 21st century skills of critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. Our rigorous academic curriculum promotes literacy and creative writing, problem solving through Singapore Math, and extra-curricular classes like debate and chess. Our students not only thrive in the classroom, but also out in the community with projects like creating hygiene kits for local homeless shelters. We believe in not only nurturing the mind, but also the soul.
Our Family, Our Community
Minaret Academy is our “second home” is a common sentiment shared amongst the students, parents and their families. We are a nurturing environment fostered by the relationships and interactions between the teachers and students. This strong bond is strengthened by a variety of programs, activities, and events like the Back-to-School Picnic, Red Ribbon Week, International Culture Day, Spring Carnivals, Eid Celebrations, and much more. Moreover, community outreach campaigns are initiated throughout the campus and academic school year that add a unique spark to the school spirit. Overall, the school strives to be an engaging, interactive, and hands-on positive experience for all involved.
Nurturing Our Soul
Minaret Academy has been lighting the path of Islamic Education for the past 17 years and continues to do so in the future. Our educational program serves as the foundation for shaping the spirituality of our students and instilling a love of Allah (swt) as the Creator, Sustainer, and Nourisher for all and His Prophet (pbuh) as a role model, guide, and mentor for mankind. The Islamic Studies and Qur'anic Studies programs guide students in exploring their faith and its application in their daily lives. The Arabic Language program connects the students to the language of the Qur'an and develops their skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Collectively, our faith unites us all to build a brighter future for the next generation of Muslim Americans.
Enhancing Our Team
In order to maintain the academic excellence of the school as well as amplify the caliber of services provided, we need to invest further in professional development. We would like to offer more opportunities for faculty and Board to receive trainings on organizational non-profit practices, curriculum development, specific subject area workshops as well as industry best practices. It is important that our leadership and faculty continue learning and gaining skills for the 21st Century level of education we offer. More resources dedicated to this goal will lend itself to better overall outcomes for our beloved students.
Sustaining Our Future
By investing resources now, we can enhance and preserve the Minaret Academy experience for all. In order to build upon our strong foundation over the past 17 years and carry us into the future, we need additional resources. The strategic direction we are headed toward will advance the school further by providing technological improvements, competitive staff salaries and benefits, educational trainings/workshops, and support services for the school. By thinking and planning ahead, we can meet our strategic goals to sustain Minaret Academy now and into the future.
